Illustration Crush - Tracey Long

I recently discovered Tracey Long's work on Etsy and I absolutely adore it! Tracey is a UK illustrator and mixed media artist working mainly in pencil and watercolour - she's based in the countryside near the England/Wales border where she creates her quirky characters and whimsical artwork.

Who are these guys hiding from??

There's just so much to look at in these gorgeous drawings - I love the tiny details, the words she uses to describe her work, the little stories behind each piece. This one above must be my favourite (although that's an impossible call to make!) because the idea of these creatures all hiding together up a tree is just so brilliant!

As for me, I have just returned from a week away over Easter - I spent it with my husband in Canberra at the National Folk Festival running a Red Parka stall - enjoyable but exhausting. In the course of the the week long festival we got to see some amazing fiddle music and so it's only fitting I should leave you with this one final piece from Tracey....
