Hello! I've got some fun stuff to share with you today...
1. If you're a fan of the Red Parka Facebook page you may have already seen this... I have become mildly obsessed this week with this live bear cam from Alaska. It's incredible! You get to watch the bears hanging out in the river waiting to catch salmon.... it's almost hypnotic.... and then, if you are patient, one of the bears will catch a fish! I know what you're thinking, but it really is exciting! You should all check it out. Really.
2. These mountain brooches by Pannikin are adorable and the perfect accessory for this week seeing as we got to go up the mountain to the snow!
3. This great interview with artist Kirra Jamison on the Jambo Chameleon blog. Her work is fabulous and you also get a sneaky peek into her studio and her home, which is very cool too.
4. This wonderfully inspiring book Print and Pattern
by Bowie Style - I've had this book for a couple of years now but it's been a while since I took it down from the shelf for a browse... I've fallen in love all over again! For colour, pattern and art lovers out there, this is a constant source of inspiration. I'm about to study up on how to make repeating patterns in Illustrator so I can try some fabric printing so I'm loving this book at the moment. There's a second edition, Print & Pattern 2
, out now as well.... will be saving up for that one!
5. This awesome street art in Lebanon - I would so love to run up those stairs! I think having such excellently coloured stairs would make the climbing of them much easier, don't you?
